Our Commitment to Your Data

Every AnimalID account includes a one-click export of everything you've added. Animal profiles, medical records, vaccination history, photos, documents, and QR code info, all of it, anytime, for free. No hoops, no upsell.

Exports come as a single zip file with:

• CSV files you can open in Excel or Google Sheets
• A PDF for each animal, a complete record of everything we have on file
• Original photos organized by animal
• A full JSON copy of everything, for anyone who wants the complete record

Nothing is locked in a format only we can read. If you ever want to leave, you walk out with everything.

Startups fail. We're planning for success, but we owe you a real answer about the other possibility.

If AnimalID ever has to wind down, here's what you can count on:

• At least 90 days notice by email to every account holder, not a terse shutdown message the week of
• A banner in the app for the full notice period, so nobody misses it
• Exports keep working the entire time, so you have 90 days to download whatever you need
• Paid export features unlock for everyone during the wind-down, Pet Passport PDFs and CSV exports become free for every user on every tier
• Direct help for partner shelters and rescues to bulk-export records for the animals they've placed
• A final heads-up to adopters who received QR profiles from our partner shelters, with clear instructions on how to keep their pet's records

We'd rather promise you less and deliver it than make grand commitments we can't keep. What we can promise is this: you'll have time, you'll have tools, and you'll have your data in a format you can actually use.

When a shelter hands an adopter a QR-tagged record, that's a promise, not just from the shelter, but from us. We take that seriously. Our continuity commitment covers every adopter who received a profile through a partner shelter, not just the shelter itself.
